3.6.3 - release candidate 2

Okay - here's another set of binaries that incorporate the latest tweaks
in several modules:

http://boggs.bwh.harvard.edu/slicer/3.6.3-RC2/

One bigger difference is that these linux binaries were built on centos
5.5, rather than ubuntu 8.04.  This should fix an glibc version issue
that centos users were seeing.  Hopefully no other side effects will
show up and we'll standardize on centos 5.5 for the builds from here on out.

There is also a set of extension builds for all platforms.  Extension
developers, please have a look.

I don't want to drag out 3.6.3 much longer, so barring any issues we'll
move these binaries to the download page next week.

Thanks again for the hard work everyone!
Steve

Hi Steve,

thanks for the new versions - especially building on CentOS is very helpful in order to use Slicer on older clusters!

Do the nightly builds now get built on CentOS as well?

Thx,
Daniel

Hi Daniel -

Not yet, but now that the centos virtual machines are set up I'll try to
find time to migrate the nightly builds to them as well.

Thanks for testing!

@Dominique, did you try the binaries on the SBIA/UPENN cluster?

Thanks,

Yes, I am using Slicer3-3.6.3-2011-02-24-linux-x86_64.tar.gz , everything is fine.

$ cat /etc/redhat-release
CentOS release 5.5 (Final)

Re: 3.6.3 - release candidate 2

Daniel Haehn
Hi Dominique,

good to know that it works on CentOS5.5.

The cluster where I want to test it runs:
[haehn@cluster ~]$ cat /etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 3)

That might be the problem..

Cheers,
Daniel

Yes, I would say that using redhat 4 is the problem.  Daniel, I think
for the SPL cluster we need to build a custom slicer.  I don't want to
go back that far in the past for the nightly builds...

If I read this correctly, that version is now about 5 years old...
