Build extensions in windows 10 x64

Juan Carlos Prieto
Hello,

I am trying to build a set of extensions in Windows 10. Slicer build is successful using VS 2013 64bit.

I have the following error.

CMake Error at C:/D/Slicer-build/Slicer-build/SlicerConfig.cmake:753 (message):
Mismatch between bitness of 'MeshStatisticsExtension' and 'Slicer' project
  !

        Slicer_CMAKE_SIZEOF_VOID_P:8

        CMAKE_SIZEOF_VOID_P:4

Reconfigure 'MeshStatisticsExtension' project using a compatible Generator.

Generator used to configure Slicer was: Visual Studio 12 2013 Win64

Call Stack (most recent call first):
  CMakeLists.txt:17 (find_package)

-- Configuring incomplete, errors occurred!
See also "C:/D/ExtensionsIndex-DCBIA-build/MeshStatisticsExtension-build/CMakeFiles/CMakeOutput.log".

I also tried building Slicer in 32bit but the extension index is not accessible.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

I’ve tried this with exactly the same configuration and it works for me.

Note that you have to delete your entire MeshStatisticsExtension build directory and restart CMake (deleting CMake cache is not enough) to change bitness of the generator.

But this error happens when building the extension the first time. The build directory is empty.
Do I need to add something to the cmake configuration command?

Juan, we bumped into the same errors yesterday. If you look at the opencv slicer extension code cmakelist examples, you can follow and add missing code.

This is a superbuild slicer extension.

With which extension?

What did you do to solve the problem? Did you have to modify any CMake file?

Thank you for the tip, Andras.

The configuration command should be executed with the -G"Visual Studio 12 2013 Win64" (generator ) option as:

cmake -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE:STRING=Release -DSlicer_DIR:PATH=C:\D\Slicer-build\Slicer-build -G"Visual Studio 12 2013 Win64" ../SlicerExtension
